About me:

I’m Cheryl and I’ve lived in Owatonna since 1998. I moved here from Australia, with two packed suitcases and the wee girl in the images. She’s now in college! Sniff, sniff.

I am a shameless romantic. Exquisite classical music makes me cry. My favorite movies are black and white movies from the forties and fifties, and I named my dogs Paris and Milan.

I love photographing candid moments when the real emotion and beauty shine through.

About Paquin Studio:

I specialize in portraits for all occasions, unique children’s pictures and high-school seniors, and boudoir photography. My studio (very petite but quaint) is in downtown Owatonna right next door to Gillespie’s Hair Salon.

I offer a custom experience for each client. I’m not a box-store picture place or the dollar store. If you want one-of-a-kind beautifully lit, evocative images that enhance you, then that’s what I love to do.

I enjoy styling shoots with wardrobe, props and vintage finds. When not shooting, I’m scouring for props and clothes, moving things around at studio petite and doing lots of DIY projects. And dreaming of the next great shoot.
